A Complex Transformed
Once known as Vizcaya, the now Cazabella Apartments located on SW 34th Street is in the heart of Gainesville.
Despite a new name and face, the bones of Cazabella have been with Gainesville for decades. The complex has embraced its Gator background and become a staple in the area. Within view of the legendary 34th Street graffiti wall, the complex with its red roofing and light terracotta stucco walls has become an icon of its own.
The complex was purchased by its current owners in 2004, and had 3 full years of construction, remodeling and complete renovation. Cazabella was designed to bring an air of Spanish architecture to Gainesville.
The hard work and dedication of the owners and their team won the new complex a city beautification award from the City of Gainesville for the remarkable transformation of the complex and surrounding area.
Since 2007, the complex has celebrated and cheered with the Gators as they take on adversity year after year. It was home to Gator Greats Ashleigh Lollie, the 2015 Miss Florida USA, and Elizabeth Beisel, Olympic Swimming Medalist who brought nine Southeastern Conference Championship titles back to Gainesville.
Cazabella is the sister property of Village 34 and Camelot Apartments located right next door. There are 146 units varying in size from a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom to 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms in the complex. It is located on the 34 bus route, and is close to the University Of Florida Law School, Publix, CVS and more.
